Hi everyone! I've decided to make this blog for all the mommies (and daddies) out there who are on the prowl for the most affordable suppliers for their son/daughter's birthday party like I have been for the past few months. My first child Zafina Martine is turning 1 on November 12 and my husband and I are planning to celebrate it either on the weekend before the date or the weekend after. It really depends on the availability of the venue. I've also been eyeing Balai Kalinaw in UP (P3,660 for 3 hours) or the more affordable Napocor Diliman Fiesta Hall (P850/function hall X 3 halls good for 100 guests). I haven't personally checked out these venues but I have researched the internet for pictures and I've already seen Balai Kalinaw from the outside. Anyway, it is exactly 45 days before her birthday and 46 days before the event itself (if we can book Nov. 13 which is a Saturday).

Today hubby and I finally decide on the theme Precious Moments because it is much easier to decorate the venue with this concept than Under the Sea theme or Alice in Wonderland (which I imagine should be very plush). What reinforced our decision more was that Zafi looked a lot like the charac

ters-- she has a big round head, cheeky face, big eyes and curly hair. Honestly I can't believe it's close to a year since she literally came out of me... She was so small and fragile then, but now, she won't even cry even if she's bumped in the head..

I'm feeling quite the cram now because the date is fast approaching and all I've really done is research. Tomorrow I'll be buying balloons from Divisoria Mall so hubby can practice on the balloon centerpieces and other decors (he's the artist). We plan to make the backdrop ourselves with larger-than-life standees and hopefully we'll be able to do a great execution.

The following are my planned suppliers:

1.VENUE- BALAI KALINAW OR NAPOCOR DILIMAN (mintlair.blogspot.com-- I hope this Mommy doesn't get mad at me for posting her blog for the venue's pics)

2.CATERER- PIERRE ANGELLI

(http://pierreangellicaterer.multiply.com/home)-E I'm really nervous about this because I've only read 1 review about it but I'm going to try to minimize the risk by really trying to taste their food before the event
OR VERLEO

3.BALLOON DECOR AND VENUE DRESS UP- JD'S BALLOONS (pinakasulit I could find -socheap.multiply.com) OR DIY by Hubby and his connections

4.CAKE - TSOKOLEYTJOYS.MULTIPLY.COM -extensive choices, not too expensive and they have Precious Moments chocolate molder

That's it for now as I have to continue my research. It's just today that hubby got really involved and saw just how elaborate the planning should be especially that he's the one to up the guest count from 75 to 100.
